With the purpose of offering legal advice to investors of Spanish origin interested in doing business in the Dominican Republic, in early 2020, Russin, Vecchi & Heredia Bonetti established a collaboration agreement with Mr. David Heredia Tapia, a lawyer with double degree in Dominican-Spanish, to offer a reliable and efficient legal advice service with scope in both countries and thus offer an added value that reduces costs and response time to our clients.
During the last two years, because of the interest of local clients in Spain and the visible increase of commercial transactions between both countries, agreements for distribution of products, franchises, or importation of goods, we launched the ‘Spanish Desk’, to ensure support to the business community that has established or wishes to establish commercial links in Spain, supported by a team of lawyers with expertise in the legislation of both countries.
David J. Heredia Tapia, Of Counsel for the Spanish Desk, is a specialist in corporate and international litigation law, and has been providing legal advice to businessmen with interests in both countries for more than 20 years and has been working as an external consultant for the firm RV&HB for the last few years.
The Spanish Desk has a team that works in coordination with the different legal areas of the firm, including corporate, business, litigation, labor, tourism real estate, intellectual property, patents, competition law, renewable energy, environment, telecommunications, aviation, among others.
