The digital Republic “is a proposal to revolutionize technologically the State and the productivity and education of the country”, affirmed the president of the Dominican Institute of Communications (INDOTEL for its acronym in Spanish), Gedeón Santos.
The first step for the government to start up with this program will be to install a national grid of optical fiber that will reach all the communities.
He highlighted that this project will facilitate all the transactions and services offered by the government, making the clients able to make operations on-line, such as bank transferring, studying, business, government services, and others, without the need of making lines.
