This event took place on Tuesday, November 6th, 2012 at UNAPEC University’s Cultural Hall. The main objective of the Tax Reform Proposal colloquium was to make a high level, critical analysis of the proposals being discussed in Congress, in order to make meaningful contributions to the national debate, shedding light on both the content and scope of the proposed tax reform.
The lecturers are two professional experts in the pertinent field: Dr. Ramón Ortega, Regional Partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers InterAmericas and Dr. Ovadis Marmolejos, an experienced and reputable Certified Public Accountant and tax advisor. With their interactions, they contributed towards clearly envisioning the impact of proposed reform on the country’s competitiveness, living standards and macroeconomic balance. In addition, the lecturers disclosed their individual points of view about this complex topic. In our opinion, their critical assessment, carried out with professionalism and high academic standards, contributed significantly towards making the relevant issues clearer.
The firm, aside from reiterating its gratitude, expressed its desire to continue supporting events of this kind.
