Russin Vecchi & Heredia Bonetti launches its ‘Spanish Desk’
As a result of the interest of Spanish investors in the country and local clients with interests in Spain, and the visible increase of commercial transactions between both countries, Russin Vecchi & Heredia Bonetti launched its ‘Spanish Desk’ in the framework of a Legal Colloquium, “Commercial Relations between Spain and the Dominican Republic”, held on Monday, September 12, with the participation of panelists Mr. Luis Heredia Valenzuela, partner of RV&HB and moderator of the event, and Mr. David Heredia Tapia, Of Counsel for the ‘Spanish Desk’.
The welcoming and opening remarks were made by Dr. Rosa Campillo Celado, partner in charge of the Intellectual Property Department and the firm’s Continuing Education program. Dr. Campillo began with a brief introduction of the topics to be discussed.
Luis Heredia Valenzuela, on behalf of the managing partner of Russin, Vecchi & Heredia Bonetti, Georges Santoni Recio, who was unable to attend due to health issues, highlighting the firm’s history operating in different markets and his experience assisting clients in trade and foreign investment matters.
The next speaker was Mr. David Heredia Tapia, who focused his presentation on the main bilateral agreements between Spain and the Dominican Republic, especially in trade, which may affect business relations between both countries.
This legal colloquium was held at the Hotel El Embajador, with the presence of the Honorable Dominican Consul in Barcelona, Mr. César Méndez; the First Vice President of the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the Dominican Republic, Mr. Julio C. García, among other personalities from the public sector and society.
