The Firm Russin Vecchi & Heredia Bonetti, along with its Continued Legal Education Department, and the support of the Center for Research and Study of Business Law (CEDEMPRESA), the Specialized Institute of Advanced Business Law Studies (IDEMPRESA) and Apec University, held its customary monthly legal colloquium, last November 26, at the Canciller events room in the El Embajador Occidental Hotel.
“Operational and Regulatory Framework for Public Procurement”, was the selected topic on this occasion for the colloquium that counted with the participation of speaker Melissa Cuevas Garcia, head of the Policy, Regulation and Procedure Department at the General Directorate of Public Procurement of the Dominican Republic.
The discussion invited an analysis of our current public procurement system, its scope of implementation and the processes and persons subject to Law No. 340-06, the requirements for contracting with the Dominican State and a brief analysis about the Claims, Challenge and Dispute Regime.
The activity was attended by attorneys, clients, and other persons related to the firm, as well as public servants and State suppliers.
