Today we celebrate World Intellectual Property Day, highlighting its connection to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Under the theme “IP and the SDGs: Our Common Future Is Shaped by Innovation and Creativity”, proposed by WIPO, we recognize the crucial role of IP in building a more sustainable world.
This day is also auspicious to celebrate that after 28 years, the Dominican Republic has been removed from the 2024 Special Report 301 Watch List of the United States. This is the result of significant advances in the protection of Intellectual Property Rights in our country, which we hope will lead to more investment, innovation and development.
Likewise, to recapitulate all the experiences and learning we obtained from the IPWeek in its fourth edition, of which we were sponsors and part of the organizing team, in which Dr. Rosa Campillo, partner in charge of our Intellectual Property department, was recognized for her exemplary professional career.
At Russin, Vecchi & Heredia Bonetti, we are proud to be pioneers in intellectual property matters in the Dominican Republic, offering our clients an ethical and quality legal service, along with innovative solutions in the protection and defense of their intellectual property rights.
