With the participation of Engineer Osmar Benítez, Executive Vice-president of the Dominican Agribusiness Board (JAD), Engineer Santiago Moquete, Consultant Advisor dedicated to the struggle in improving the legal security of land ownership and Jeanny Aristy, Associate of the law firm Russin Vecchi & Heredia Bonetti an entertaining and interactive dialog developed which allowed to evaluate the feasibility and pertinence of the initiative of improving private and public property classification.
The speakers, experts in the field, expressed the importance of the recent decree created by the Permanent Commission which recommends implementation of guidelines of the “Essential Plan of Mass Titling of Properties”. They expressed their views regarding the aspects that need to be addressed in response to the concern that for many years different Dominican society sectors have felt, regarding t land purchased, occupied, inherited or assigned, which are affected by the shortcomings and errors arising from the lack of qualifications.
At the end they left the doors open to promote solutions that may create more relevant and inviting institutions to move forwardin reaching a successful conclusion and new initiatives to solve this problem.
